Capell Flooring and Interiors has been in the flooring business here in the Treasure Valley for 43 years, and we have a strong reputation for our honesty, integrity, and outstanding customer service. We are a small but growing company, and we are looking for team members who would like to share and contribute to that growth.

The next person we are going to add to our team is a Receptionist/Sales Floor Design Consultant. The Receptionist/Sales Floor Design Consultant will be the first to welcome potential clients when they walk through our doors, walk the clients through the design process and help pick out carpet, tile and hardwood etc. This position would also provide administrative support.

This will be an exciting and rewarding position. Excellent phone skills and the ability to interact with clients in a positive and personal manner are very critical. You will often be the first point of contact when people come into our store or over the phone.
Required Characteristics:
Answer Multi-Line Phone:
  • Screening calls
  • Checking and returning messages, helping with scheduling
  • Checking and answering email inquiries
Sales Floor:
  • First point of contact to walk clients through design audit
  • Help clients pick out carpet, tile and hardwood.
  • Administrative support
Preferred Skills:
  • Sales Floor – Basic knowledge of interiors design and helping customer with selecting flooring or counter tops (carpet, hardwood, tile, vinyl, lvp etc.)
  • Interior Design/decorating skills and the ability to coordinate color packages with clients with all type of flooring. Eye for style, colors, and fashion.
  • Honesty and Integrity are critical for this position.
  • Highly self-motivated and quick learner with solid independent work ethic
  • Knows how to build and maintain long term relationships – everything we do is with long term thinking in mind
  • Positive, upbeat, creative mindset….
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills – ability to interact with many type of personalities
  • Listening skills are important – Ability to hear what customers want and need and help guide them through the design process.
  • Solid set of computer skills – MUST know Microsoft Office, i.e. word, excel, outlook, power point,
  •  Must need to be able to type at a minimum 40-50 SPM, preferable faster
  •  Follow up – Ability to follow up and understand the sales process (NECESSARY)
  •  Meet with customers in our showroom, learn and follow a system, but flexible enough to adapt
  •  Sales Experience helpful but not required - Must be willing to learn a sales system.
  •  Knowledge of office equipment (copier, fax, filing, etc)
  •  Administrative support could include marketing, AR, AP or general data entry.
  •  An eye for social media.
  •  Professional sales office, business attire.
  •  Some of the above skills can be learned and if you feel like you learn quickly then follow the directions below to apply.
  • This position will be 25-35 hours a week. Hours are expected to be 11 am - 5/6pm Monday – Friday. No Weekends!
  • Compensation: $12/hour (potential for raises based on performance, commitment, and skill level)
