Job Description:

We are looking for our next full-time employee at Capell Flooring and Interiors, in Meridian, Idaho. We have been here in the Treasure Valley since 1974 and we have a strong reputation for our honesty, integrity, and outstanding customer service. The work atmosphere at our company is very friendly; the kind of place you can look forward to coming to each day. We are a small but growing company and we are looking for team members who would like to share and contribute to that growth.

In a small business setting, there is a need for flexibility, a great attitude, and a desire/ability to be a team player. This is a full-time position – 40 hours per week. The pay is dependent on prior experience and abilities; benefits are discussed at the job interview. Starting pay $16 - $20 per hour and up again depending on abilities and prior experience.  
Main job responsibilities (not limited to this list):


• Know or learn how to trace plans and do takeoffs
• Good typing skills and be able to type quotes and think critically
• Be able to run customer payments via credit cards
• Good basic math knowledge
• Great people skills, work well with others, and ability to solve problems
• Ability to use/learn quickly our flooring specific software RFMS, google calendar, Microsoft Office suite, i.e., Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Phone skills and willing and able to be on the phone with clients


• Be able to process orders in a timely manner and verify for accuracy
• Thorough and precise to make sure products are ordered based on product need and time frame
• Track orders/shipments with vendors
• Keep paperwork processed correctly with organized system.

Showroom meeting with customers

• All full-time employees at Capell Flooring are trained to be able to meet with clients when they come into the showroom. Although this would not be your primary task, you would need to be comfortable learning about products, our system, “The Design Audit,” and be able to guide people in making selections.

Don't worry--training and a calculator will be provided. This business is very dynamic. The market continues to change and we must adjust with it. While you will have specific duties, your main job will be to provide support to our administrative staff. So expect to learn how to do things that are not included on this list.

  • ​Solid set of computer skills--must be able to use our email and calendaring programs and be able to learn and use our industry specific software

  • ​Reliable transportation is a must. We are relying on each of our team members each and every day.
  • ​Professional sales office/business casual attire

Additional Information:

Some of the above skills can be learned and if you feel like you learn quickly, then please fill out the information below to apply. This position will be 40+ hours a week. Hours are between 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday-Friday with an occasional, but rare Saturday. Compensation: $16-20/hour depending on experience and ability (potential for raises based on performance, commitment, and skill level). We are looking for serious long-term candidates.
